Volume 1, 2004, Nr. 3

Stefan Trobisch-Lütge:

Traumatizing sequelae of injustice committed in the former GDR in subjects now aged 60 plus.
Experiences in the consultancy and psychotherapeutic work of the »Headwind« consultancy center (Abstract)

An analysis of the types of taumatization induced by persecution conditions in the former GDR is followed by a report on special features in the psychodynamic of subjects persecuted at that time and now aged over 60 years. The associations linked in one subject with his persecution in the former GDR are indicative of highly organized mental defense processes after traumatization under GDR-specific conditions. The concrete psychotherapy of a now 72-year-old  politically traumatized subject is used to illustrate the transfer-countertransfer processes and the therapeutic developments in which trauma processing gradually becomes possible.
